Here we go!
So this is Day 3 of this little trip. To be perfectly honest it's been a little daunting, with all the ghosts and all. I travelled over ten hours from Kamakura to Kyoto, the logical choice of course being by local train. It only cost me about 100 bones Canadian. Right now? I'm in a little house with some nice people. The sun is shining. The only problem is that I can;t upload any photos just yet. This stinks but you all will be able to check it out by next week. I got to sleep outside for the first time behind a Buddhist shrine to Dogen. The wierd coincidence was that I had no idea that it was aBuddhist shrine until the morning. At least I got to check out what it's like to sleep on the ground. It'll be better when it's not in the city. I slept off and on but mostly walked Kamakura. Even in the dark it's a beautiful city. It's rich with polite people that always say good morning to a ragged white skinhead boy walking in their neighbourhood. I found a 24h McDonalds near Kamakura which was like the fucking! UN. People sleeping and eating at four int he morning! So good...so good. The chick behind the counter was really nice and cute. Ahhhh...good times. The train trip was beautiful as always but it's still a little hard to believe that I'm hear. Once this first leg is done I'll be flying like a dove. It'll be hard but very rewarding. I can't hardly wait. I've made it my point os speaking japanese whenever I can regardles. I start with Japanese and go from there. Some successes, some failures but all in all preatty damn good. This country is great. I'll post pics when I can. Tomorrow Tokushima. Peace.
