Beware of Tsunami with the Earthquake

Currently I am in Kamakura. Well, about 5km away from the Great Buddha in Kamakura. I have been spending two days so far simply walking the beach and enjoying the wind surfers in Kamakura Bay. My, how things have changed since I was here last, four years ago now. Actually, the whole country is so very different as I watch the seasons pass me by. Kamakura has a very special place for me because it holds its little spell on me. When you walk Kamakura there are so many different views. You can hike, bus, ride anything you`d like. I kind of wish that I had a bike today though. I could have seen so much more. But recently I have had to kind of adjust myself to some changes happening back home regarding school and my debt. So the past few days have had me simply enjoying what I enjoy the most - the beach. It`s so great to see so many people riding the surf out in the bay, on a weekday no less, hangin` and chillin` saying FTW! When I was making the huge mistake last year of applying for English teaching jobs for Japan I put down this city as the place I would most like to live. It pretty much has it all for anybody. You`re 45 minutes from Tokyo; you have an amazing beach where you yourself can learn how to surf or windsurf, whatever; you have a HUGE shopping district aptly named SHOPPING TOWN where `big city` living meets small town prices *ahem* small town pricing is pretty expensive in this country. Not that many tourist around today, not like yesterday. That suits me just fine. In less than three weeks I will be in South Korea, and that seems pretty exciting.
