Satisfaction When You Receive Ice Cream

While I have been taking my time and relaxing after my climb and travels over the past three or so weeks I have had the opportunity to realize how exciting I have been living as of late. It is exciting because I have had many opportunities, meeting new people, helping people out, and getting a chance to live in a city which, to put it mildly - fucking rules. Within the next two and so months I will be living in Tokyo. Being able to take part in some of the community...well...the local football community, by helping out my friend Dan and his FC Tokyo blog by writing for a couple of away games. As well as games that he cannot attend. He has even offered his old camera which I can use if I want to walk and document Tokyo through pictures. I told him my idea about going through Tokyo with a fine tooth comb, writing notes, and taking pics. Of course, I am no photog but it feels better to be able to use a pretty good digital professional camera to have some fun. This city inspires me to be a better individual. I have spoken about looking for, or finding,my voice on this trip. Friends and family of mine from across the ocean, and over here, have been able to really support what it is that I have decided to explore. For over four and a half months over here I have been able to see things, and explore things that many people, even those living over here for years, haven`t been able to do. I would suppose that this is a competition against myself. The person that I was over in Toronto before I left (a person whom I can`t possibly go back to) and the one that I am right now as I write. I guess this post is something of a light post, rather than the long descriptive posts I have given you guys over the past two months, yet I suppose that this is something of a beginning until November (middle or end - not sure just yet). I have already walked Tokyo in June/July, but this time it will be an attempt to understand this city on a deeper level. To say that I really saw it rather than be a person who only saw the surface of the city, and not just its entrails.
